I have finally completed the first of two Vanishing Point Quilt Tops that I
posted about back at the start of December. The weather today is diabolical, so there is no chance for taking decent pictures outside. If the wind settles down tomorrow I will post some more decent photos. Quilting this one took quite a bit of patience on my part. I think I ended up sewing 120 straight lines to create the vanishing point - this pretty much drove me crazy. The vanishing point lines done by simply by drawing lines on the quilt top using a washable marker for fabric & then sewing on top.

The backing fabric is 'Raindrops Blue' from Jessica Hogarth's Velocity range. I love this range and I have previously used other fabric from this range on the binding of my Blue and White Quilt (below) - Velocity City'. I will used Velocity Tonal City for the backing of my Igneous Star Quilt. This quilt is a keeper :)

Looks like you have had a busy few weeks! Hope the walking foot is making the whole straight line quilting thing happen a bit more smoothly? And imagine - teaching a dog to ring a bell! Our jack russell barely knows how to sit...
